The Ministry of Digital Transformation is proud to announce the success of the Finale and Awards for the highly anticipated First D’Hub (Developers’ Hub) Challenge Series. The grand finale, held on Saturday, 27th April 2024, at the Hilton Ballroom, brought together Trinidad and Tobago’s top developer teams to showcase their digital solutions with the potential to revolutionize government operations and improve the lives of our citizens. The winners of the D’Hub Challenge 2023/24 are: Real-Time S42 Address Identification for TPOST: SKDevs – Sinead Hamel-Smith and Kwasi Edwards. Personalized Health Monitoring and Advisory for Ministry of Health: The E-Team – Emeka Farrier. Liquor License Data Management for Customs and Excise Division: D’Velopers – Akshay Seedath, Kyle Jaimungal, Suveer Ramsamaroo, and Tahj Ramudith. Noise Pollution Measurement and Reporting for the Environment Management Authority: J3T- Johnny Tiu. Online Passport Application Tracking for the Immigration Division: Ankh Tech Team – Christopher Keller.

Exciting News! The Ministry of Digital Transformation’s Developers’ Hub (D’Hub) project was not only been selected as a finalist but subsequently won the Interamerican Development Bank’s President’s Awards for Innovation and Service Excellence (Pr.A.I.S.E) in the Public Sector!

The Ministry of Digital Transformation celebrated a landmark event on Friday, 29th September, 2023, at the Inaugural D’Hub Challenge Concept Awards Ceremony. The event was held at the Trinidad Hilton Hotel and Conference Centre, and brought together visionaries, tech enthusiasts, and government officials to recognize the developers who were evaluated as having met the requirements for each of the 5 Challenges. 15 developer teams are carded to receive monetary awards to support the development of their proofs of concept – a pivotal step in the D Hub Challenge.

The Developers’ Hub (D’Hub) was launched on 20th of June 2023 by Ministry of Digital Transformation with the aim of building the capacity of local software developers and growing the ICT sector.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation hosted an in-house session where local software developers were invited to not only hear about the recent D’Hub launch but also voice their concerns and expectations for the project.
